Buildings created in MapInfo or AutoCAD Civil 3D?
Is there any software that contains different types of building models in it?I am looking for a software which I can use to create a virtual city with different types of infrastructures. Samples of those cities would be those created in AutoCAD Civil 3D: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?siteID=123112&id=3566722The problem I am facing now is that I don't want to spend time making all those buildings, roads...Do you have any suggestions where I can find building models that are already made by the others? In MapInfo, is there a way to save, or make a copy of, the thematic map into another layer?
I want to copy the thematic map so MapInfo doesn't need to keep calculating and redrawing everything. If I can save it as another layer and navigate around that. Note: I don't need the data attached to map. i just want the map.I am using MapInfo Professional 8.5.I have 60000 pipe elements which I wish to colour code using a Thematic Map. The thing is every time I pan around the map it takes a long time to redraw and I think that's because it has to recalculate the colour and draw the underlying data.. If I can copy the thematic map then it won't have to draw all the data again. at least, that's how i figure it.if you can do it in 7.5 i may be able to replicate the same in 8.5.
