im moving from new zealand to toronto. i want to figure out the times. so like say its noon in new zealand what time is it in canada? and when does daylight savings occur? atm i do it canada are 7 hours ahead but the day behind but i know it becomes 5 hours when daylight savings happens. im really confused and i want to do a little table for my family and boyfriend

Ok so my mom says central time is ahead of eastern time, so saying that if it is 8 o'clock here and 9 o'clock there, we are ahead of their 9 o'clock(eastern) at 8 o'clock (central), but I said we are Behind eastern time because 9 is ahead of 8. help anyone?
